Adding a record to a data grid

Hi,

I can see you have a pattern for Grid. But would you have a standard for when you need to add a new record in the Grid? There are a few options out there:

  1. Inline adding of record in Grid
  2. Pop-up adding of record to the Grid
  3. Adding of record to the Grid on the same page

What would be the best practice and if you have an example, what would it look like?
