One of our favourite parts of the Design System is that you can use the design system to create your own components.
In version 3.0 we’ve added the Blue Diamond signifier to make extending or contributing even easier. It shows you which styles and components you need to keep. Other components can be adapted (where required) or built to meet specific user needs. By using the core styles in your new designs you can maintain a consistent look and feel.
Think of the design system as:
Blue Diamond - the base for brand compliance.
Core styles - the raw ingredients that define the NSW Gov look and feel.
Components - examples of assembled core styles to be re-used and adapted.
UX Guidance - principles for using the components and style which ensure consistent and accessible user experiences across NSW Government digital products and services.
