Image and video pattern

Would it be possible to have an image pattern. Some props could be

  • Source
  • Alt text
  • Full width (boolean)
  • Caption - in ‘figure’ mode show caption with bg colour, otherwise without?

It would also be nice to have a video pattern, potentially also with caption ability

Hi @Chris , thanks for your suggestion! We’re currently working on image floating classes so will take this opportunity to also look at a wider image/video pattern.

We hope to share these soon so will keep you updated with their progress.

Hi @Chris, we’ve just released our Media component which includes sizing and alignment of images/video and adding captions. You can find guidance on the component on our Documentation site: NSW Digital Design System - Media

The UI kits tab will link you to the component in Figma and HTML.
