Our minimum expectations under Reuse and repurpose have been updated. The new Standards seek to encourage approaches to creating a consistent approach to digital products across NSW Government.
There’s plenty of benefits to reusing what’s available and minimising duplication across government agencies.
Ensuring you meet the Standard on your digital projects means your product can be:
- reused for multiple purposes
- replaced without affecting the rest of the system
- integrated with other systems more easily
- scaled
- easily developed (by providing a better ‘developer experience’).

The NSW Design System hosts previously made Solutions to make it easier for agencies to access existing solutions and to reuse it. When you build something new, consider how you can provide access to your work across NSW Government.
