We have three presentations from Department of Primary Industries, digital.nsw team and Department of Education (with TACSI) to share their insights from
- Building HCD capability in regional NSW
- The NSW Design System – baking in HCD
- Designing specialist school transport for the NDIS
The session will conclude with community announcements, Q&A on the presented topics, and the latest news around human-centred design in government agencies.

Topic: Human Centred Design in Public Sector Practice; an action research approach
Rodger Watson, will share the latest thinking from his research on public sector innovation and the role of HCD in Public Sector Practice, and share a live case study from The Netherlands where the nexus of Human Centred Design and Public Sector Practice is at the centre of the government’s response to the Nitrogen Crisis.
Rodger is co-author of Designing for the common good and Course Director of the Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation suite at the University of Technology Sydney, TD School.
We’ll also run through other community announcements.

The solution will support business profitability and new investment in regional NSW by creating a more seamless and equitable end to end process for the land users, community, and council.

The Transport Digital Accelerator will be showcasing a snapshot of the versatility and infectious power of HCD with the evolution of its co-design impact across the innovation quarter, cross government initiatives, and future transport mobility strategies.
